Japan Seen Worsening iPad 2 Shortages; Original Nearly Sold Out
Apple's iPad 2 is still experiencing widespread shortages- and due to the situation in Japan, they may continue for a bit longer.
According to a CNNMoney report Wednesday, the recent earthquake and tsunami, are expected to affect supplies of several major iPad components, including touch screens, image sensors, batteries and NAND flash memory. The length of the shortages remained undetermined.
Meanwhile, Apple's stock of the original iPad is rapidly running out, the Unoficial Apple Weblog reported. Apple's online store is already sold out of the 16GB Wi-Fi-only version, while AT&T has sold out of some versions as well.
