Jobs Hailed in Memorial Service
On Sunday evening, a memorial service was held for the late Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, at Stanford University's Memorial Church.
The event, similar to other Apple events, was shrouded in secrecy and was noted for its heavy security detail. It was attended by many notable figures, including politicians, media figures and other big names in the tech world.
According to PC Magazine, attendees at the service included former President Bill Clinton; former vice president and current Apple board member, Al Gore; Apple CEO Tim Cook; Apple senior vice president of iOS, Scott Forstall; lead vocalist of U2, Bono; News Corp. CEO, Rupert Murdoch and chief technical officer, Jon Miller; actor Tim Allen; Pixar's chief creative officer, John Lasseter; Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison; Dell chief, Michael Dell; Adobe co-founders, John Warnock and Chuck Geschke; former first lady of California, Maria Shriver; singer Joan Baez, actor Stephen Fry and many other notables.
