A New DISH
Joe Clayton, CEO of DISH, is not known for pulling punches. A lot needs to be done to improve the provider of satellite TV and music services, Clayton said, and he used the stump at CES on Monday to state his case.
Retailers and consumers can expect new branding, marketing products, mascots (yes, that's a kangaroo that Clayton's holding), advertising, Web site and plenty of press, Clayton said, adding that a new management team is already in place and that many of the changes have already begun to take place.
On top of that, DISH will be rolling out new video services; more SiriusXM music channels, with a focus on Latino programming; and satellite broadband services to tertiary markets.
