JVC BlackCrystal LED TVs Are Store-Exclusive
The BlackCrystal line of HDTVs, brought out by JVC and AmTran last month, will be joined by an additional LED line in late August- and the LED line will be sold exclusively though brick-and-mortar retail outlets, a company executive said Tuesday.
"We're offering retailers a product that has somewhat of an exclusive, since we're only going through select brick-and-mortar accounts," Tom Paterniti, vice president of sales and marketing for AmTRAN Video, said in an interview. The company was not ready to announce its retail partners, but did say that it will likely consist of one major national retailer and several regional ones.
"Essentially, it's competitively priced, we're setting the bar with JVC product line, in the Tier 1.5. We're slightly under a Sony or Samsung as of price, but image quality," as well as audio, are comparable to those of competitors.
