JVC Releases Two New Projectors
JVC’s CEDIA press conference started off with the company wowing attendees with a new 4K projector, boasting 4 times the resolution of high definition. Models similar to the one shown are used professionally for pilot training, but JVC noted that it wonít be long until that level of picture migrates to the home.
Until then, the company is content to offer 1080p D-ILA projectors and announced two of them at this weekís show.
The DLA-HD100 is being released by JVC’s consumer group, while the DLA-RS2 will come from the company’s professional group. Both feature three 1920 x 1080 D-ILA chips and 30,000:1 native contrast ratio. They include HDMI 1.3 inputs, Fujinon lens, Gennum video processing and customized gamma control. Both also feature a V-stretch function to allow full resolution on 2.35:1 screens. Both projectors will be available in November for under $8,000.
