Kasa Smart Launches Vintage Light Bulbs and Multicolor Light Strip
TP-Link has just added some old-school lighting products to its Kasa Smart line. The Silicon Valley company released two Vintage LED Filament Bulbs in Soft White and Warm Amber, and announced the availability of its Kasa Smart Light Strips. According to TP-Link, the new products offer endless options for entertaining, whether you want to dim the lights to set the mood or illuminate a room in a sea of different colors.
With the KL50 Kasa Vintage LED Filament Bulb in Soft White, users can achieve a soft glow in a design that resembles a traditional, incandescent light bulb. While the other version of the bulb, the KL60 Kasa Vintage LED Filament Bulb in Warm Amber, is meant for the eco-conscious consumer looking to add a vintage aesthetic to their home. Both Kasa light bulbs work with a home’s WiFi, eliminating the need for additional hubs. The bulbs can be controlled with voice commands Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as the Kasa Smart app. The app’s intuitive controls allow homeowners to monitor the status of the smart bulbs, including their energy consumption—anywhere, anytime.
Along with the launch of the Filament bulbs, Kasa is also rolling out the KL430 Kasa Smart Multicolor Light Strip with millions of color combinations, and 16 individual color zones. If that number feels a little overwhelming, Kasa offers 10 presets with animated lighting effects. Next year, you’ll even be able to customize each zone to achieve the color and vibe you’re looking for. The Smart Multicolor Light Strip can extend up to 33 feet with the 4-pronged connectors, or it can be cut into smaller strips. Like the Filament Bulbs, the Light Strip can be controlled with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and the Kasa Smart mobile app.
