The Kurio Smart is a 2-in-1 Windows tablet computer that comes with a detachable keyboard. According to KD, it is the first 2-in-1 device designed specifically for kids. It comes with a 9” touchscreen display, 32GB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB with a microSD card), up to 1TB of cloud-based storage on One Drive, more than 40 preloaded apps (valued at $200), and a free one-year subscription to Microsoft Office.
The device ships with Windows 8.1 OS, but units built after September will come with Windows 10 and the new Windows Office mobile apps. The device retails for $199.99 and is available now for purchase in the U.S.
