So, what is your employee relations strategy? Do you think you have a good handle on how happy your employees are? Is your turnover high, or do you have a natural flow of some long-term employee and some that are more short-term? If you don’t feel like you do or you sense some hostility among some of your long-term crew, there are many strategies you could apply, but the first and most important is simple: talk to them.
A simple and honest conversation (not review-style) in which you as the employer actively listen can go a long way in determining what you can do to make your employees happy. Taking that step could mean the difference between creating a team environment or setting the stage for a boss-versus-employee battlefield.
