Kindle Fire Has Half of Android Tablet Market
Amazon's Kindle Fire is the most popular Android-based tablet by far, and now claims over 50 percent of the market. That's according to a survey released Thursday by Comscore.
The comScore Device Essentials found that as of February, the Kindle Fire had 54.4 percent of the Android tablet market, far ahead of Samsung, whose combined Galaxy Tab family takes up 15.4 percent. None of the other competitors- Motorola, Asus, Toshiba, Sony- cracked 10 percent.
