Klipsch Contributes to “Extreme Makeover”
Klipsch said this week that its surround speakers were included in the building of a new home that will be featured on an upcoming episode of ABC’s popular series “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
The show, which features a crew building luxurious homes from scratch for those who have suffered misfortune, recently built a new, 3,200-square-foot house in Kentucky for Patrick Henry Hughes, a 19-year-old college student who was born without eyes and has been confined to a wheelchair since birth.
The new house came complete with a full home theater, furnished with the help of Super Home Systems in Louisville, and included were Klipsch CDT-3650-C in-ceiling speakers and RW-5802 subwoofers. The system comes complete with a voice-operated system which allows Hughes to change channels, adjust audio levels, and submit other commands just by speaking.
