Dealerscope: Presently, most consumers are more focused on displays (flat panel TVs) than on audio components. What can the industry do to improve that situation?
PJ: I think that the industry as a whole would see a significant improvement in quality audio sales by simply treating better audio as an integrated part of the video sale and just by providing an adequate environment for high performance demonstrations. There’s always this hesitation to make it really easy for people to make one buying decision. And so when they come in to make the purchase in most retailers, while there are some displays with audio hooked up to it, what you see a lot of times is rows and rows of great looking video displays with high definition TVs, but there aren’t that many where audio is just a given part of the sale.
