Klipsch T5 Series Launches at Retail
During our time in the Klipsch booth at CES 2019 earlier this year, the renowned audio brand gave us a preview of a ton of new product that they planned to roll out over the course of this year. One of those early looks included the new Klipsch T5 True Wireless Earbuds, the brand’s first-ever dive into the true wireless space. The true wireless buds are part of the wider Klipsch T5 series of mobile-friendly earphones, which the company began to roll out to retail on Wednesday.
The full line includes four different T5 products: the True Wireless earphones ($199), Neckband earphones ($119), Sport earphones ($99), and Wired earphones ($59). Small in size but powerful in performance, the T5 Series of earphones mixes Klipsch’s premium and iconic sound with materials and their True Comfort design that makes listening to them for extended periods of time a per joy.
Klipsch has been a leader in the speaker industry for more than 70 years, making products that deliver the experiences that allow you to be your true self,” Paul Jacobs, president and CEO of Klipsch, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to offer the new Klipsch T5 Series of high-performance, kick-ass earphones suited for every individual, for every use case and lifestyle, at any budget.”
The Klipsch T5 True Wireless earphones will give users up to eight hours of music and mobile listening enjoyment on a single change and an additional 24-hours through the brushed-metal carrying case that’s designed like those old school lighters. Klipsch also packed in their Clear Voice Chat microphones to help improve the phone call experience and to reduce ambient noise. The earbuds also incorporate the new Bluetooth 5 chipset for improved connection and performance, and will support the user’s digital voice assistant of choice. And, perhaps most excitingly, the buds support USB-C charging! The headphones will be available own black.
The Neckband earphones support all of the same features as the True Wireless buds with the main differences being battery life (15 hours on a single charge) and, of course, the design. These headphones are designed with a premium hand-stitched leather band and aluminum controls that perfectly compliment the elegant design of the headphones. The Neckband will be available in brown or black leather.
Klipsch’s T5 Sport headphones very much have the active user in mind both from a performance and design standpoint. Klipsch integrated their patented oval tips on these headphones for added in-ear security. These will ship in black or white.
And lastly, the Wired earphones aim to provide total control of the listening experience at a truly affordable price point. Klipsch didn’t skimp on the premium design either with a braided fabric cable that integrates their all-new miniature aluminum single-button cable. These will also be available in black or white.
Adding another layer of personalization to the Klipsch listening experience, the company said that it has a summer launch planned for the new Klipsch Connect App. With their earbuds hooked into the app, users will be able to monitor battery levels, adjust EQ settings, get firmware updates, and more for the True Wireless, Neckband, and Sport models in the T5 series.
The entire T5 series of earphones are both sweat and water resistant (rated IPX4) and will ship with several sizes of the patented Klipsch comfort ear tips. The T5 Sport and Wired earphones are available now through the Klipsch website and authorized Klipsch retailers. The True Wireless and Neckband models are up for preorder now on the Klipsch website with expected ship dates in July
