No matter how tough of a competitor you think you are, there's always someone tougher nipping at your heels. To make matters worse, the amount of competition constantly increases as non-traditional sales channels continue to flourish.
But there is hope, especially for retailers who make themselves stand out in a crowded market, know their competition and understand the behavior of their customers.
That's the message Tim Herbert, CEA's senior director of market research imparted during a session on The Battle for Attention at the organization's Industry Forum this week in Las Vegas.
