Lee Appointed Hitachi Marketing VP
15-year CE veteran Daniel Lee’s appointment to vice president of marketing was announced Monday by the Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division of Hitachi America, Ltd. Lee will be in charge of marketing, communications and advertising for the U.S. While based in San Diego, Calif., Lee will endeavor to increase Hitachi brand awareness through efforts such as the “Power Unleashed” campaign, which launched Monday.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northeastern University and an MBA from Cornell University, Lee went on to play key marketing roles at such companies as LG and Maxell before coming to Hitachi. Kenji Nakamura, vice president and general manager, Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division, said, “Daniel Lee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the U.S. consumer electronics marketplace to our company and his appointment will allow Hitachi to further expand its flat panel brand awareness, prestige and market share.”
