Lenovo Debuts Consumer Ultrabooks
Lenovo today announced a new ultrabook line with price points, design and features aimed at the consumer market.
“We think this is going to bring ultrabooks into the mainstream,” said Nick Reynolds, Lenovo’s director of marketing and strategy. “This is the ultrabook for the rest of us.”
Lenovo’s offerings include the 13.3-inch IdeaPad U310 (0.7 inches thick, in at 3.74 pounds, MSRP $749), and the 14-inch IdeaPad U410 (0.83 inches thick, 4.18 pounds, MSRP $799), both scheduled to hit major retailers at the end of this month. The starting price is about $500 less than Lenovo’s enterprise ultrabook, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
