LG Debuting Connected TV Ads
In an industry first, LG Electronics has announced an integrated advertising platform for Smart TV applications. LG has teamed with YuMe on the venture, with Toyota signed up as a charter advertiser.
Pilot campaigns will continue this fall with more advertiser participation expected in Spring 2012.
"For advertisers like Toyota, the LG ad platform can be the third screen complementing on-line and mobile digital campaigns with an in-home shared viewing experience," Sam Chang, general manager of LG's Smart TV Innovation Development Group, said as part of the announcement.
