LG Electronics Set to Launch 2019 Sound Bar Lineup
After making its first appearance at CES 2019, the LG 2019 sound bar lineup is ready to head out to LG-authorized dealers very soon. All models will be available beginning the week of April 14, with the exception of the SL9YG which will follow suit during the week of May 27.
In collaboration with Meridian Audio, the LG sound bars deliver superior surround sound quality wrapped up in a sleek, modern design. The new products pair seamlessly with both the LG OLED and LG NanoCell TV’s to create a sound field with greater height, width, and depth.
The three premium sound bar models (SL10YG, SL9YG, and SL8YG) all feature Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to provide multidirectional sound. AI smart connectivity and voice recognition through Google Assistant is built in to each device which elimates the need for additional equipment.
"Our 2019 sound bars are the most innovative and best sounding models LG has designed to date," said Tim Alessi, head of home entertainment product marketing at LG Electronics USA. “This combination of exceptional sound and smart AI connectivity takes music and movies to a new level of home entertainment.”
Users can opt for either a stand or wall mount orientation for the award-winning SL9YG model. When mounted, the sound bar adjusts to provide the proper orientation required to deliver the proper output. Its Slim Wall-Mountable Design mode boasts 4.1.2ch of Dolby Atmos with up-firing speakers. In wall mount mode, the SL9YG automatically switches to down-firing speakers.
LG’s 2019 sound bars range in price from $279 (SL5Y) to $1,299 (SL10YG).
