LG Demos Mobile DTV in Detroit
LG Electronics Thursday demonstrated its mobile DTV technology to an audience of automakers in Detroit. The product, the DP570MH mobile receiver, is meant either for standalone or backseat viewing and will be launched later this year.
The device will sell for $249. It was introduced at CES in January.
"It's easy to receive the new mobile DTV broadcasts with our new portable DTV, which comes equipped with a built-in antenna and the ability to play DVDs and CDs," Tim Alessi, director of product development for LG Electronics, said as part of the announcement. "And this technology can be easily integrated into rear-seat screens as well."
