LG Electronics followed its first-ever Super Bowl commercial showcasing the new LG Signature 65-inch Model OLED65G6P Ultra HD 4K OLED TV with the kickoff of pre-order events for that model prior to its launch in late March, both online and in-store, via select U.S. retailers.
Retail partners for the consumer preview and pre-sale include Abt Electronics, Best Buy, Bjorns, Brandsmart, Fry’s, Nebraska Furniture Mart, P.C. Richard & Son, Value Electronics and Video and Audio Center
The $7,999.99 TV, which was unveiled at last month’s CES, represents LG’s top-line TV technology. Panel depth measures about a tenth of an inch, and the design incorporates a translucent glass back and a forward-facing sound bar speaker system. The model also features high dynamic range (HDR) capability and it is certified as Ultra HD Premium by the UHD Alliance, as it supports the newly announced industry standards for HDR formats, which include HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It is driven by LG’s webOS 3.0 Smart TV platform.
