LG and Google Partner Up to Launch Yet Another Nexus Phone
LG Electronics and search giant Google officially announced their third collaborative effort in Google’s line of Nexus Android phones. The Nexus 5X will come with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system baked into the device. The Nexus 5X was announced as Google was holding its annual I/O conference.
The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch 423ppi Full HD IPS display that has advanced In-Cell Touch technology, which enables faster recognition, better outdoor visibility, and crisper images, according to LG. It will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Processor, and the Type-C USB port will allow the phone to charge from completely dead for 10 minutes and have enough power to last for up to four hours.
Some other notable features of the Nexus 5X include a 12.3MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera, 4K and slow-motion video capability, the Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor located on the back of the device, and Android Pay capability. The phone will come in two memory sizes (16GB and 32GB) with three color options (Carbon, Quartz, and Ice).
