LG Names Texting Champion
LG last week named a winner in its contest to choose America’s best text messenger. The victor in the Second Annual LG National Texting Competition was 20-year-old Nathan Schwartz of Clyde, Ohio, who was proclaimed the champion after texting a certain phrase, accurately and quickly.
In order to win the $50,000 in prize money Schwartz, using his LG handset, texted the phrase “Does everybody here know the alphabet? Let’s text. Here it goes ... AbcDeFghiJKlmNoPQrStuvWXy & Z! Now I know my A-B-C’s, next time won’t you text with me?,” in just 60 seconds, defeating the competition that had gathered at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
