LG Pulls its Watch Urbane 2nd Edition from Shelves After Hardware Issues Detected
Shortly after the official worldwide launch of its Watch Urbane 2nd Edition—the first LTE-enabled watch that didn’t need to be paired to a smartphone in order to operate—LG has pulled the product from shelves after detecting a hardware problem that was affecting day-to-day use of the device.
According to a 9-to-5 Google report, AT&T began notifying customers yesterday that a quality issue was occurring with the device. The company also notified customers and its retail stores that it would offer a full refund to those who had already purchased the device as a result of the defect.
It was not immediately clear what the hardware issue might be, but LG did send a note around to media outlets that were covering the launch of the latest Watch Urbane and writing reviews on the product. The website Android Police posted the note from LG:
