LG's First Netflix-Enabled TVs Arrive
LG said Thursday that its first-ever HDTVs to carry Netflix capabilities without need for a separate box are available now. The TVs were first announced at International CES in January.
The first two of TVs, the a 47-inch LCD 47LH50 and 50-inch plasma 50PS80, are available now, while two more models, the 42-inch 42LH50 LCD and 60-inch 60PS80 plasma, will arrive later this summer.
"With 2.5 million North American households looking to purchase a networked TV, incorporating broadband connectivity into our new HDTVs became a natural progression of our partnership with Netflix," LG's senior vice president, marketing and strategy, Peter Reiner, said as part of the announcement.
