Given how well its commercial did during the Super Bowl last Sunday, you’d think that LG has been “in the game” for quite some time now and not just making its Big Game debut. The spot, which was produced with the help of some major Hollywood names (including Liam Neeson and Ridley and Jake Scott) and featured the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV, was ranked as one of the games most likeable ads by an ACE Metrix study, as well as the single most engaging advertisement by link-management platform Bitly.
“The Super Bowl was the perfect platform to let people know the future of TV is here with LG SIGNATURE OLED TV,” J.S. Lee, vice president and head of the Marketing Communication Division at the LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company, said in a statement. “Leading in likeability for our commercial and having one of the most talked-about hashtags during the Big Game is a winning combination because it means that consumers connected positively with LG and were excited by it for the right reasons.”
In the ACE Metrix study, which listed the “Top 10 Ads based on Likeability,” LG was cited because of the spot’s “high impact visuals and star power.” In case you need a quick refresher:
