LG to Debut the Stylus 2 at MWC 2016
As with CES last month, the announcements keep rolling in with LG Electronics ahead of the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona next week. The brands mobile division announced today that it will unveil an updated version of the much maligned G4 Stylus at MWC.
The LG Stylus 2 is described as an “exceptionally-priced 5.7-inch handset” that shares many of the premium features of the company’s flagship models but will also include a pen with a nano-coated tip for more accuracy compared to the rubber-tipped pen found on the previous model. Further, LG said the new stylus will feature a set of proprietary functions developed specifically for the device and aimed at improving the user experience. Among those new features: Pen Pop, which toggles a popup menu when the stylus is removed to offer shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner. It will also include a new Calligraphy Pen font.
Another new function for the LG Stylus 2 is Pen Keeper, which prevents the device from being misplaced by displaying a popup message when the phone is detected as being in motion while the stylus bay is empty.
