LG Reveals 3D Plans
LG this week revealed an ambitious sales target for its new 3D TVs. According to Reuters, LG says it plans to sell 400,000 3D TVs in 2010 and 3.4 million in 2011.
Those sales will include a full line of products starting in late 2010, moving beyond the single 3D model the company now offers. The company also plans to market the TVs to the consumer market, putting them in direct competition with Sony and Panasonic.
LG projected it would sell 25 million units in 2010.
