Low 3D Sales Had Little Impact on Dealers
Directors of some of the industry’s top buying groups recently spoke with Dealerscope’s Nancy Klosek on a variety of topics, including 3DTV sales, new partner programs and predictions for 2011 sales. For the full interviews, please see the upcoming March issue of the magazine.
Dealerscope: The number of 3DTVs sold last year was below expectations. How much did that hurt your members?
Mike Decker, Senior Vice President, Electronics Marketing, Nationwide Marketing Group: This did not significantly hurt our member sales because they were able to provide an alternative to 3D through the upsell of connected TV. However, in 2011, due to almost 100 titles coming out in 3D, sales should show a moderate pickup.
