Verizon Promotes McAdam
Verizon announced Monday that Lowell McAdam, the head of Verizon Wireless, has been promoted to the position of president and chief operating officer of Verizon Communications. According to Reuters, the move puts McAdam in line to succeed CEO Ivan Seidenberg.
In addition, Verizon announced that Francis Shammo has been named chief financial officer, replacing the recently retired John Killian. Meanwhile, Daniel Mead will replace McAdam as CEO of Verizon Wireless.
Seidenberg is expected to retire as CEO next year.
