New Zealand's FNP Enters U.S.
New Zealand-based Fisher & Paykel is pushing its Smart Drive washer in the U.S. market. The Smart Drive has been manufactured for the last seven years in New Zealand and Australia. It spins at 1,000 revolutions per minute, extracting up to 30 percent of the water and resulting in energy savings. It is fully electronic and has very few moving parts for greater reliability.
In future U.S. introductions, the company plans to begin exporting its double-drawer dishwasher around September--each drawer operates independently of the other--and in early 1999 Fisher & Paykel refrigeration will hit the U.S. market. Call (888) 9FNPUSA .
