Manfrotto, a manufacturer of photo, video, and lighting support products and accessories, debuted its TwistGrip—a new product aimed at the smartphone photographer and videographer looking for a better support clamp.
The company described the TwistGrip as their “premium universal smartphone clamp,” which is specifically designed for smartphone users who have “embraced smartphone photography as a way of life.” The TwistGrip connects all smartphones to any support with it’s quarter-inch thread (tripods, mounting accessories, etc.), and it is the “core for a complete modular photographic system,” Manfrotto explained.
The TwistGrip is built with an aluminum body construction made in Italy. And, for ease of carrying, the clamp is designed with a twist-and-lock system that hides the clamps while the product is not in use. It basically looks like a heavy duty bottle opener. That design also ensures that the smartphone is in the right position in just a few easy steps, keeping it safe and secure while the user worries about their framing.
