The publicity the promotion generated was better than one might expect. The contest was covered by both the ABC and NBC broadcast news affiliates in Philadelphia as well as 10!, a morning lifestyle/news program. Several local papers picked up on the story as well. Jon Robbins noted in a previous interview that the subliminal value of the words "Hifi House" and "plasma" being repeated over and over again in the media coverage pleased him immensely. "I was pretty blown away," he said.

Not all marketing ventures are as fast and cheap. Hifi House's most ambitious promotion to date is one that it has participated in since 2001, the Philadelphia Magazine Design Home.
