Marshall Expands Retro Speaker Lineup with Two New Additions
Marshall tacked on two new additions to its portable Bluetooth speaker lineup today: the Stockwell II ($249) and a larger Tufton model ($399). Despite their retro vibe, both speakers project clear, powerful sound. Just like their predecessor the Kilburn II, which launched during IFA 2018, the speakers come equipped with adjustable audio and can support multi-host functionality.
The Stockwell II is the smallest of the bunch, which means it’s the most travel-friendly. With its IPX4 water resistance and power bank functionality, this speaker gets the job done especially in small settings. On the other hand, the Tufton towers over both the Stockwell II and Kilburn II, making it much less portable but a better option for large gatherings like tailgates and outdoor parties. For those looking for something that bridges the gap between the Stockwell II and the Tufton, the Kilburn II makes for an ideal mid-sized option. Starting today, the Kilburn II will be available in a new grey color in addition to the signature black shade.
Despite a noticeable difference in size and shape, all three speakers provide Bluetooth 5.0, offer 20 hours of battery life and can power up rather quickly (twenty minutes provides hours of battery life). Each one also possesses controls inspired by original Marshall amps, and come equipped with a carrying strap similar to that of a guitar.
