Maxell’s Headphone Lines Aim for Sports, Youth Demographics
Maxell’s latest headphone series are designed to draw impulse dollars from some of the hottest headphone-buying demographics.
The company’s formerly named Action Sports line has been rebranded as the Pure Fitness line, says product manager Eric Walbrecht, to answer the needs of consumers in that growing buyer pool. The line includes the Pure Fitness earbuds ($19.99), currently available in Rite-Aid stores, which features a built-in mic, flexible comfort in-ear design and IPX2 sweat- and moisture-resistant construction.
The Action Kids line provides low-peak decibel control to a ceiling of 95dB to maintain healthy listening levels. It includes the $12.99 headphones, IPX2-rated, featuring an in-line mic, and packaged with interchangeable caps in five colors.
