Megapixels Storm PMA Show
Most of Olympus' effort was focused on 35mm and the neatly miniaturized Stylus series led the way. Infinity Stylus Zoom 140 (38-140) headed the parade (passive AF 38-140 zoom, weatherproof covering, SRP $473), followed by the Stylus Zoom 80 Wide DLX (mid-roll panorama switching, SRP $419), Infinity XB large viewfinder (SRP $109) and entry-level Trip MD3 (all auto controls; SRP $42).
Pentax covered both ends of the 35mm spectrum with the new IQZoom 200 point-and-shoot autofocuser (48-200mm lens, SRP $612) and a basic all-manual or multimode auto exposure controlled SLR.
Ricoh, likewise, emphasized 35mm by a 2:1 ratio showcasing the pocket-sized FZ-70 dual power AF (35-70 zoom) with remote control (SRP $299) and the RZ-735 lightweight model with super macro focusing of its 35-70 lens (SRP $199).
