Memorex Revs Up Its Brand Recognition
Like the CDs and DVDs it produces, Memorex will be spinning around and around racetracks across the country this year—figuratively, anyway. The brand will be the primary sponsor of he No. 41 Memorex Dodge in the NASCAR Busch Series, starting in August.
Imation, which purchased the Memorex brand last year, made the announcement today, which follows up on a promise to promote and reinvest in the property. Memorex is well known for its optical and flash-based media, as well as new innovations, such as the recently released AquaGuard CDs and DVDs, which prevent water from damaging both the data on the discs, as well as the user-printed image on the other side.
You’ll see the Memorex logo whizzing by at the season-opening run at Daytona International Speedway in February as an associate sponser, taking over the primary sponsorship role later in the year. The car is driven by “young racing phenomenon” Bryan Clauson.
