Metra Home Theater Group to Host 'HDMI Cable Faceoff' at CEDIA Expo
Metra Home Theater Group will be hosting “The HDMI Cable Faceoff” Workshop at this year’s CEDIA Expo to demonstrate the pros and cons of transmission lines as they relate to custom installation. The goal is to prevent integrators from experiencing roadblocks when using fiber, passive copper, and other HDMI tools for 4K and 8K home theater systems. Jeff Boccaccio, president of DPL Labs and Brent McCall of MHTG’s technical support and development team, will lead the hour-long workshop, explaining many of the strategies and techniques they’ve picked up throughout their careers.
“Metra Home Theater Group has a great working relationship with DPL Labs and our customers look forward to hearing Jeff at every CEDIA Expo they attend. We look to DPL Labs for their expertise and distinct leadership in the field and to also help our customers adapt to the constantly changing technology that impacts their projects,” said Jessy Crabb, MHTG’s general manager.
While each project is unique, Boccaccio and McCall believe that there is an ideal solution for every price point, length, and requirement. The live HDMI testing will highlight their point and show attendees the differences between each type of product, and where it might be most appropriate. Boccaccio will also showcase a new technology designed to fix or upgrade existing systems, and help integrators reach 8K without headaches.
“The HDMI Cable Faceoff” Workshop will be held at MHTG’s booth (#1338) on Thursday 9/12 and Friday 9/13 at 1 p.m. Both days will include the same sessions and offer attendees the chance to win a variety of new products. The workshop will serve as an extension of MHTG’s commitment to train and educate customers on the latest technology.
In addition to hosting the workshop, MHTG will also be launching several new products during the 2019 CEDIA Expo including: HDMI matrixes, extenders, switches, fiber tools and next-generation repair solutions from Ethereal. MHTG assures that the products are easy to install with different transmission distances and resolutions depending on the project.
