Microsoft Debuts Surface Pro 3, Meant to "Replace Your Laptop"
Microsoft Tuesday announced its latest entry into the tablet wars- and the first under new CEO Satya Nadella- with the introduction of the new Surface Pro 3.
The tablet, featuring a huge, 12-inch display, is explicitly touted as an option for users to replace their laptop. It's also touted by Microsoft as "30 percent thinner than an 11-inch MacBook Air."
"So many people carry both a laptop and a tablet but really want just one device that serves all purposes," Panos Panay, corporate vice president for Microsoft Surface, said as part of the announcement.
