Windows 7 Ad Attacks Apple on Blu-ray
Microsoft launched a new minute-long TV ad for Windows 7 last week taking a shot at Apple computers for their lack of Blu-ray capability.
The ad, which uses stop-motion animation for a Wes Anderson-like look, features a Mac and a PC- not actors playing them, but actual computers- taking a plane ride together. The PC begins watching "Avatar" on Blu-ray, a capability that the Mac does not have.
In the ad, the "airplane" is made of two soup cans and a badminton birdie, while the computers are animated. It is also "Rated PC," in that no Macs were used in its creation.
