Microsoft Posts $5.87 Billion Profit
Microsoft this week posted a fourth-quarter profit of $5.87 billion, a 30 percent increase over the same period last year. The company also posted record fourth-quarter revenue of $17.73 billion.
The company's Entertainment & Devices Division, which includes Xbox and Kinect, posted a 30 percent revenue gain.
“A strong year of double-digit increases in revenue and earnings is a real credit to all of our Microsoft employees and partners around the world," Kevin Turner, the company's chief operating officer, said. "sWe continue to see strong business demand across all of our products, from small businesses all the way up to the largest global enterprises."
