Microsoft Store Preparing Expansion
Microsoft is planning to open four new retail stores in the coming months, and will also open its first non-U.S. stores later this year, The Verge reported Friday.
The new stores will open in Palo Alto, Calif. and Austin, Tex., in April and in Bridgewater and Freehold, N.J., in July. In addition, the first international Microsoft stores will likely open in late 2012, in Toronto and other, unnamed international city, with more to come in 2013.
The four U.S. stores are all located in areas close to established Apple stores.
