Microsoft Launches Intune
Microsoft this week announced the official launch of Intune, a Web-based tool for updating and upgrading programs that is aimed at small businesses.
The tool was unveiled a year ago in beta form and is now officially available. It costs $11 per month and requires a one-year commitment.
"We designed Windows Intune to be used by service providers and IT consultants, as well as in house IT professional," Microsoft's Gavriella Schuster wrote in a blog post announcing the release. "It’s a great way for partners to get into the managed service market by providing a valuable, comprehensive PC management solution without having to make an upfront investment in infrastructure.
