Southern California experiential retailer Video & Audio Center is targeting a mid-November opening for an exclusive technology Showcase Galleria at the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, a unique, open-air mall, where weekly events spotlighting robotics, connectivity and other of the latest cutting-edge technologies will be showcased featuring key vendors.
Designed by Joseph Akhtarzad, Video & Audio Center’s co-owner, of black granite and glass construction, it will be the store’s sixth location, complementing the retailer’s other location in the same mall, and is situated in a prime area in front of the Apple Store and across from Nordstrom’s, in a spot where shoppers need to walk past going into and coming out of the mall, said Tom Campbell, corporate director and chief technologist.
“Today’s consumer has been yearning for new technologies, and we’re here to fulfill their desires,” said Akhtarzad.
“This is another first in the ongoing evolution of storefront retail,” said Campbell. “We’re very excited about this new concept.”
The retailer’s Just One Touch personnel will be on site once the location opens to discuss custom home and corporate/office integration possibilities with visitors to the mall.
