Monday in CE: Amazon is Testing a Delivery Service to Rival FedEx, UPS
This is more of an “of course” kind of move than anything, but when you start to peel back the layers on the news that Amazon plans to test a full-scale delivery service—the likes of which would rival FedEx and UPS—you start to realize that this might be out of necessity.
Currently, Amazon does already have one of the most robust delivery logistics programs available out there. They’re capable of getting product to consumers, particularly Prime Members, in hours let alone two days. But even now they rely a great deal on the services of UPS and FedEx for other deliveries, and particularly when you talk about the “last mile” of the delivery process.
