Four or five years ago, we head about the future of 5G and many companies pointed to 2020 as the first consumer rollout. It seems otherwise arbitrary but I don't think anyone was complaining that telecom business' were taking the next evolution more seriously.
So serious that T-Mobile and Sprint have announced a possible merge, hoping to make good on that gameplan. And with an enterprise value of about $146 billion, the newly combined company, called T-Mobile, would be set to take on the very expensive endeavor.
That is if the Federal Communications Commision allows it.
