CEDIA Expo: Monster Aims to Drives Dealers Brands
At its CEDIA Expo press conference, Monster Cable unveiled several new dealer initiatives and products, including super-fast HDMI cables and a product merchandising program for installation and integration crews called "Just What the Doctor Ordered."
"Just What the Doctor Ordered" is a customizable program that supplies dealers with special truck racks and compartments for a variety of Monster products, such as interconnects, power centers and cables that installers and integrators can sell on site. Head Monster Noel Lee suggests that retailers carry a credit card reader and inventory sheet on their trucks to immediately charge for and track the products. The program fee, Lee said, starts at about $2,000.
"It costs a lot of money to roll a truck; it costs a lot of money just to make a delivery and do an install. So let's put the products the installers need on the truck and let the installers sell them," Lee said. "It puts everything you wish you had but don't on the truck. It's additional profit for all the installers and integrators."
