Monster Panels at SXSW Celebrate Influence and Evolution of the Boombox
High-performance personal audio brand Monster has a busy schedule down in Austin, Texas, where it’s participating in the annual megashow South by Southwest. There, the company is hosting a series of music- and business-related “fireside chats” led by Head Monster Noel Lee. Each will feature different DJs, hip hop artists, and music influencers.
Monster explained that the panels are part of the company’s launch campaign for its SuperStar Monster Blaster, the reimagined Boombox for the 21st century, which is scheduled to launch later this month.
Among the names on hand to participate in the events are George Clinton, Too Short, Lil Dicky, Just Blaze, Cashy, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Nina form Sirius Satellite Radio, Hank Shocklee, Chuck Creekmur, founder of Allhiphop. The panels, which run from March 15-19, are being produced in collaboration with Lose Control Music, FIGHTER Interactive, Empire Auto, and KRAVE nightclub in Austin. Here’s a look at the schedule:
