On Saturday, the Consumer Electronics Association announced the final additions to their list of keynote speakers. Dell Inc. chairman Michael Dell and Viacom President and CEO Tom Freston were to round out a list that already included Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Motorola’s Ed Zander and Disney’s Robert Iger. On Tuesday, however, Viacom announced that Freston had been ousted as CEO and would be replaced by board member Philippe Dauman. Underperforming stock was cited as a basis for the decision. CEA has confirmed that Freston is no longer slated to speak at CES, though a replacement, if any, has yet to be announced.
