More Security Trouble For Best Buy
Best Buy admitted Tuesday that a batch of consumer email addresses may have been stolen from one of its partner companies, the second such breach in just over a month, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
A "former business partner" of the retailer is responsible for the breach, Best Buy said in an email to customers. The company is "pursuing appropriate legal actions as a result of this breach," a company spokeswoman told the newspaper.
Best Buy was one of several companies victimized by a breach at Epsilon in early April.
