Most iPhones Sold by Carriers
The majority of iPhone devices are sold by either AT&T or Verizon, and Best Buy sells nearly as many of the popular smartphone as Apple itself. That's according to data released this week by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), as cited by All Things D.
The survey, taken over a three-month period that ended in February, found that 76 percent of iPhones are sold in retail stores, with 24 percent coming online. AT&T and Verizon sold 32 and 30 percent of iPhones, respectively, with Apple selling 15 percent and Best Buy 13 percent. Sprint sold 7 percent.
