MRM Recycling Initiative Set to Go National
The manufacturer recycling initiative known as MRM, which is led by Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba, announced this week that it is rolling out its services nationally.
Already running in Minnesota and Texas, the program will expand to several states next month, including California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The program will expand further in 2009.
"MRM is focused on enhancing the sustainability of individual company brands and product offerings through convenient, environmentally sound and efficient recycling,” MRM's president, David Thompson, said as part of the announcement. “This type of collaborative effort is essential to providing consumers with convenient recycling opportunities and to achieving practical, long-term solutions.”
